The Hafler DH-500 is a beast of a power amp: it's big and heavy, but it carries its weight. Definitely a workhorse, rated at 255 watts per channel into 8 ohms. It delivers clean, reliable power with no issues. But it also has a huge soundstage with great warmth and vitality. It also produces an excellent resolution of detail and a spaciousness of sound that practically grabs hold of the music and drags it into reality. If you have decent speakers and a preamp to match it with, this hunk is absolutely worth the space it takes up.
