The old idiom "Don't judge a book by its cover" works very well for this Emerson EWV404. It doesn't look like a whole lot, but this VCR has a lot to offer by way of features, especially for the price. The timer recording feature allows you to set recordings for up to 8 programs up to one year in advance. It also has a time search function which allows you to search for an exact time in any tape. Don't let its modest appearance fool you, the Emerson EWV404 is a special VCR.
