The JVC HR-J351EM is a truly incredible VCR. Its biggest perk is that it is a multi-broadcast system, which means it has the ability to play tapes from different formats or regions. Since it has NTSC playback on PAL televisions, you can watch NTSC VHS tapes (a standard format in United States and Japan) on a PAL TV (which is the color television system used in many European countries). VCRs with both NTSC and PAL playability are not common in the US, so this is a super unique feature!
Plus, it supports Long Play (LP) recording, which allows you to record much more information than Standard Play (SP). Add to that its compact design, included remote, and easy setup and you've got a rare multi-system VCR that's hard to beat!
Please note: If you reside in the North American region, most newer TVs support multiple standards, but double check that your TV is capable of displaying a PAL signal for PAL playback.
