The SL-1200MK2 is an incredibly high-quality hi-fi stereo turntable. It's a manually operated, direct drive system that offers a high torque motor for a fast start-up (and we're talking fast - from standstill to 33-1/3 RPM in not even a full second!) and quartz lock control. The build quality is also impeccable: the aluminum die-cast platter and cabinet can't be beat, and the heavy rubber feet help absorb unwanted vibrations. Ask anyone who's been lucky enough to own this gem of a turntable if it's worth it, and they'll all answer with a resounding "yes."
