DVD Players
WHAT'S THE BEST DVD PLAYER TO BUY?
There are so many different DVD players with different functions that labeling one single DVD player as “the best” is tricky. If you just want something basic, we recommend the Sony BDP-S350 as the best one. If you want a system that plays DVDs, Blu-rays, and has all of the best features, then you can’t go wrong with the Sony BDP-CX960.
Most DVD players will do the same thing (play your disc), but these two options are definitely among the best DVD players, particularly if you have a Smart TV. Sony DVD players are always great choices if you’re unsure - they’re reliable and can last a lifetime.
ARE DVD PLAYERS OBSOLETE?
NO! DVD players are far from obsolete and are still extremely useful. In fact, they are superior to any downloadable or streamable file type. They offer a better video and audio experience. DVD players for TV are also great because they do not require an internet connection or subscription to a service. Instead, you get to own your collection of movies and TV shows.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BLU-RAY PLAYER AND A DVD PLAYER?
A DVD player will ONLY play DVDs, and a Blu-ray player will play both DVDs and Blu ray discs. Both play CDs.
