Kenwood Basic M2 Stereo Power Amplifier 220W (1983-85) (AS IS)
The Kenwood Basic M2 is a hard-hitting power amp packed tight inside a black box. True to the Kenwood brand, the M2 has a tonally rich, spacious, and clean sound. It's a workhorse rated at 220 watts per channel into 8 ohms with a frequency response of 1Hz to 200kHz and a THD of only 0.004%.
It also uniquely features "Sigma Drive," which takes into account the real feedback of loudspeakers, regardless of the frequency, resulting in noise control that is cleaner, more precise, and more accurate. For the Sigma Drive, two sets of wires need to be connected between the amp and each speaker, so on the back of the unit you'll see two additional binding posts that are labelled as "Sigma Sensor." Unfortunately, this system currently smokes when it's on, but for the right person who wants to give this amazing system the service and care it needs, it can become the perfect power amp!
