This receiver is loaded with decoding for THX Surround EX, DTS-ES, and Dolby Digital encoded DVDs, along with a variety of ways to get multi-channel sound from Dolby-encoded sources such as DTS Neo:6, Pro Logic II, and Denon's Widescreen 7.1. It also offers more than enough power with 125 watts x 7 channels into 8 ohms (20-20,000 Hz) with only 0.05% THD. It even features dual-room / dual-source capability so you and your family can listen to a difference source in two different rooms at the same time! It's a hulk of a machine, definitely something that will take up space, but if you do have the room, the clean, accurate audio it produces is well worth it.
