Pioneer PL-7 2-Speed Direct-Drive Turntable (1981)
Looking for a classic turntable from the early 1980s? The Pioneer PL-7 is a 2-speed, direct drive turntable. It's easy to use with a single start/stop button and a repeat option. It features a static balance type straight tonearm that's really light compared to all-aluminum S-shaped tonearms. The speed is dead on, and it doesn't hum outlandishly while it plays like some of the other early 70s and 80s turntables. Pair it with the right cartridge, and this thing will sing!
