Pioneer SR-202 Vintage Solid State Reverberation Amplifier (1970)
Looking to own a nice piece of Pioneer history? The Pioneer SR-202 is a reverb amplifier that can be used to increase the naturalness of your own recorded voice, radio broadcasts, records, or tapes. You can couple it with your amplifier (just use the tape monitor jacks) in a few different ways to add some cool reverberation effects to your speakers, to the recorded sounds, or both. You can even control two tape recorders at the same time for simultaneous recording, recording with reverberation, playback, etc. Plus, it uses dual time delay circuits to eliminate any peaks or dips in reverberation so what you get is stable audio that has tremendous depth and brilliance.
Basically, it plugs in just like a signal processor such as an equalizer or dynamic range enhancer. It's not for everyone, but if you enjoy a bit of reverb, the Pioneer SR-202 is an excellent choice. And who could say no to it's beautiful silver face bordered with wood in a combination that just screams vintage?
