Teac A-3440 Reel-to-Reel Deck and RX-9 DBX Unit Bundle with Portable Case
This Teac audio bundle comes with the A-3440 reel-to-reel player and recorder, along with the RX-9 DBX unit. The back of the reel deck has decoder and encoder hookups so you can connect it to the DBX unit to send and receive signals. Plus, both units come inside an included bright orange portable traveling case. Though keep in mind that "portable" is relative here - this case with the reel deck and unit is HEAVY!
Teac A-3440
This is an incredible reel-to-reel that was groundbreaking for its time, and one that remains a steadfast system today. A direct descendant of the A-3340S, the A-3440 was the first multitrack tape deck aimed at the home studio rather than just the professional field. A 4-track, 4-channel system, it has three heads (erase, record, and playback) and plays and records reels with ease.
Teac RX-9
This is a DBX decoder / encoder that was designed to be used only with the A-3440 and other decks that can provide a suitable connection. This unit is perfect for noise reduction - set up correctly, the recorded audio signal is encoded before it's recorded and then decoded upon playback. It's the perfect companion piece to the A-3440 if you want your recordings done to a professional standard at home.
